Mining Carbon Dioxide from Air and Water
Carbon dioxide is a product of combustion as well as respiration. The molecule can be utilized to synthesize chemicals and fuels.
Air contains on-average 400 ppm-v of carbon dioxide. Air is comprised primarily of 78.5% nitrogen, 20.5% oxygen, 1% argon and trace levels of molecules such as carbon dioxide.
Water contains many organisms and holds carbon dioxide in the form of carbonic acid.
